First gathering

P1040780I came to the NVC in Education Europe event looking for clarity regarding this question I’ve been sitting with for several months: Do I, as a non-certified NVC trainer, want to put some of my time and energy into supporting teachers in the area where I live who are interested in bringing NVC into their classrooms and schools—do I think this project would likely nourish me as well as the teachers? I was also hoping to find greater clarity and inspiration about how I might like to support teachers, and greater self-confidence in doing so.

I’m thrilled to say that I’ve come away from the event (I attended both parts 1 and 2) having found everything I was looking for, and more! I’m full of hope, having gotten a glimpse of some of the ways, both big and small, in which NVC trainers and educators are bringing NVC into schools in Europe. I’m excited at the prospect of being a part of this movement, and yes, I’m confident that my own little project can and will be life-serving for the teachers I work with, for their students and their colleagues, and for me too!
